In May 2007, Nestlé Waters opened its 200,000 square foot bottling facility in Denver’s Mile High Industrial Park. The plant currently has 37 employees with plans to hire 13 more in 2009. This state-of-the-art facility bottles Nestlé® Pure Life® Purified Water brand purified water and will soon bottle Arrowhead® Brand Mountain Spring Water for regional distribution.
Nestlé Waters opened the new bottling facility in the Denver area to meet the growing demand for its products in Colorado and surrounding states. By locating a bottling facility in the region, Nestlé Waters was able to reduce truck use and fuel consumption, since previously, packaged water was shipped to Colorado from southern California.
The Denver facility recycles approximately 95% of its raw materials used on-site and produces Eco-Shape bottles, the lightest half-liter beverage bottle on the market today.
As business neighbors in Denver, Nestlé Waters strives to run an exemplary local operation and be an active member of the Denver community. We will continue working hard to accomplish this through stewardship of natural resources, environmental leadership, partnering with local vendors and suppliers, and providing community support for local events, programs, and specific needs in Colorado. |
